The video was taken on my phone or camera, but I did not film it. Who owns the rights to the footage?
Under American Copyright Law, the videographer is considered the content owner.

The person who filmed the video holds the exclusive right to distribute copies of the copyrighted work to the public by sale or other transfer of ownership. This ownership is valid even if the video was filmed on a device the videographer does not own.

However, if you are interested in submitting a video for which you do not own the rights, please contact our team at submissions@viralhog.com with details about your situation, and we can provide further guidance.
